married life... amazing! it has been so surreal just to wake up next to the person you love the most =)

greatest day of my life thus far - June 28 2008... *sigh*
it has been quite the adventure so far. i have learned so many new things that i have never known before! just about how to survive life in general. i feel like a "Sim" so far... my levels have increased in cooking and mechanical the most lol. i love to build stuff!!
most recently i cooked spaghetti from SCRATCH! yeah yeah... i know this may sound pretty stupid and pretty simple, but i have NEVER done it before. and i actually followed the recipe from top to bottom. it turned out great! however, i had a few "set-backs" along the way. some of the things i have learned from making this spaghetti is:
1. Don't ever try to cook a 2 Kg package of spaghetti thinking it is a normal amount to cook
2. Don't try to pan-fry raw ground beef that has not been defrosted at ALL
3. I need a bigger pot
asides from cooking disasters, i am much better suited for doing handy work around the house, building stuff! most recently, i have installed DRAPES! amazing! well, it is quite an acomplishment for me, okay? i have never approached that kind of project before. i used a drill (that's right, i bought my very own drill!), drilled in the brackets, put up the rod, and hung up those drapes, ALL BY MYSELF. that's right, no help was recieved! and i liked it that way! it was fun, and it actually looks good, professional.
well i kinda needed to put up drapes ASAP due to my most recent acceptance into a NIGHTS position at the hospital. now i can sleep during the day and it will feel like the night! because i couldn't just get ANY type of drapes... oh no... they are BLACK-OUT drapes!! no light! perfection! and cozy =)
my past successful projects have been building a bookshelf, and building an over-the-commode shelving unit for the bathroom, and a few other small things around the house. many more to come!
so i'm on a night shift right now... and that's why i seem to have all the time in the world right now to write this blog! i love nights! get paid to go on the internet! with the ocassional moments of x-raying a patient. it's pretty great! except i'm pretty sleepy right now =S
here are some fun questions 2 get 2 know me... well i'm bored, just found them on the internet:
1. Favorite ice cream: Chocolate of course! ANYTHING with chocolate!
2. Favorite book: At the moment, it's TWILIGHT! i love Vampires!
3. Quality you most admire in your spouse: David's big heart and gentle nature, and his love for the Lord
4. Favorite way to spend your day: If i'm lazy, watching TV season DVD's. If not so lazy, being with FRIENDS doing anything!
5. How many kids you'd like to have: 3 if i'm lucky!
6. Favorite local eatery: Olive Garden!
7. Favorite candy: Does chocolate count as candy?
most recent addiction: watching Gossip Girl Season 1!!! i am so glad David is into it too... he calls himself Gossip Boy! and signs everything he writes with "XOXO Gossip Boy" at the end. geek. well anyways, it's a must. GG S.2 starts Sept. 1st!! it's coming soon!!!
anyways i need to stop writing now! my tired and exhausted eyes can't take reading anymore! more blogging soon to come =D
